Windows...

I have always loved the warm glow a window gives off into the night ...as well as watching the rain dance on a window pane   just needs a comfy chair, a book and a warm cup of chai..  24 hrs star gazing...

Windows are the jewels of a house, offering a view of the outside world as well as a portal into the personality of both the house itself and it's owner.

I confess: I LOVE RUGS!!!

There I did it...I said my truth: that rugs are my weakness. I love to look at, shop for and buy rugs. 

My obsession for rugs began in 2006 when my husband and I moved to the Middle East for two years. Shopping for rugs there is an 'experience' that requires you to take the time to explore all the rugs made from different regions in various techniques and most importantly, to sit for awhile on a pile of carpets, sipping homemade mint tea, chatting with the owner.

A Perfect Day...

To wake up naturally before the rest of the house...    

and spend a quiet hour on my yoga mat

   

before cuddling with my little people in the soft morning light

  followed by a big family breakfast, complete with a hot cup of Marsala Chai  (homemade by "The Chai Guy" - my husband)   Dressed to hit the road... Off to a local Artisan and food market...followed by the BEACH
where we spend a lazy afternoon diving in the cool waves and collecting little treasures with my little people no perfect day is complete without a massage on the beach!! a vegetarian feast ready to share with good friends and family   and live music jamming to the sounds of the ocean and children playing a fire is lit beneath the starry night sky, friends take their leave and our children start to nod off     and I am left alone with my favourite person to reflect...on a perfect day.     What is your idea of a perfect day?
